Privacy Policy

OM (“Only Mates”) is a private, invite-only social app for groups of friends, run by Radarr LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what we need to run OM for you and your mates, we don’t sell your information, and we don’t show you ads.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your email address, your name, profile photo and bio, and your password if you set one (stored securely hashed, never readable by us).
- What you share: posts, photos, videos, voice notes, comments, reactions, @mentions, event RSVPs, nudges, hangman guesses and the groups you create or join.
- Invites: the email addresses of people you invite, so we can send them their invite.
- Messages to us: anything you send us, such as questions or reports.
Information collected automatically
- Sign-in and settings cookies: a cookie that keeps you signed in, and one that remembers which group you’re looking at. We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking cookies, and we don’t use analytics trackers.
- Notifications: if you turn on push notifications, a technical address for your device that lets us send them.
- Online status: while you have OM open, your mates in the same group can see you’re online (you can turn this off in Settings). This isn’t stored.
- Technical logs: our hosting providers keep standard logs (like IP address, browser type and time of request) to run and protect the service. These are kept for a short time.
- Small preferences on your device: things like whether you’ve dismissed a card, stored in your browser.
2. How we use it
- To run OM: create your account, sign you in, and show what you share to the groups you share it with.
- To send you sign-in links, invites, notifications and (if you keep it on) the daily OM Times email.
- To create AI features like The OM Times, the weekly OM Awards and “Surprise me” hangman words (see below).
- To keep OM safe: preventing abuse and spam, enforcing our Terms of Use, and fixing problems.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell your information, we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t build profiles of you for anyone else.
3. AI features
The OM Times, the OM Awards and “Surprise me” hangman words are written by AI. To create them, recent posts, comments, names and photo previews from your group are sent securely to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes them only to produce that content for us and does not use them to train its models. The result is shared with your group only. You can turn off the daily email in Settings.
4. Who can see what
- What you post in a group is visible to everyone in that group, and only them, including people who join later. If you share a post to several groups, each group sees its own copy.
- Your name and profile photo are visible to people you share a group with.
- Group admins can see the group’s members and remove posts and comments in their group.
- OM’s administrators can access data where needed to run, secure and support the service, or when required by law.
5. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers who handle data on our behalf, under contracts that protect it:
- Supabase: database, file storage and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting the website and app.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Anthropic: AI features (see section 3).
- Apple, Google and Mozilla: delivering push notifications to your device, if you turn them on.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people’s safety, or as part of a sale or restructuring of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply).
6. Where your data is stored
OM is run from the United States and our providers may store and process data in the US and other countries. Where the law requires, we rely on recognised safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers out of the UK and European Economic Area.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account and content stay until you delete them or your account.
- When you delete your account, we delete your profile, posts, comments, photos and other content. Copies in backups are removed within about 30 days.
- Notifications are cleared after 90 days. Technical logs are kept for a short time by our providers.
8. Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile, and edit or delete your posts and comments, at any time.
- Turn off push notifications, the daily email and your online status in Settings.
- Delete your account in Settings.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@radarr.biz.
Depending on where you live (for example the UK, the EU, or US states like California), you may have additional rights, such as to object to or restrict how we use your information, to take your data elsewhere, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We don’t sell or “share” personal information as those terms are used in California law. We will never treat you differently for using your privacy rights.
Where EU or UK law applies, we use your information because it’s needed to provide OM to you (our contract with you), for our legitimate interests in keeping OM safe and working, with your consent (for example push notifications), or to meet legal obligations.
9. Age limit
OM is only for people aged 16 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have, we’ll delete the account and its information. If you think someone under 16 is using OM, please tell us at hello@radarr.biz.
10. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, private storage for photos and files, and strict access controls so that only members of a group can see that group’s content. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy as OM changes. If we make important changes, we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect.
12. Contact us
Radarr LLC runs OM and is responsible for your information. Questions or requests? Email us at hello@radarr.biz.
